• Offer workshops that support this goal with book length and short form workshops in all genres (fiction, non-fiction & poetry).

• Hire a group of faculty, industry professionals & staff who represent diverse voices in contemporary writing.

• Build an accessible, inclusive, and community-focused culture among conference faculty, industry professionals & staff.

• Schedule content that approaches the craft of writing and business of publishing from a variety of perspectives.

• Foster a conference community that will continue to support participants well after the conference week.

• Make need-based fellowships available from year one.

​

• Never charge an application fee.

​

• Provide housing options supportive of all writers.

​

• Create a conference that serves writers of all backgrounds and levels of experience.
