After monitoring developments related to the novel coronavirus COVID-19, the difficult decision has been reached to cancel the 2020 Writers’ Conference. We are currently working on planning our 2021 Conference. Please see our Home Page and continue to check our website for more details.
The Kettle Pond Writers’ Conference offers writers of all backgrounds and levels of experience the opportunity to focus on their work in a supportive and immersive writing community each summer. The conference features a daily schedule of craft and technique lectures, faculty and participant readings, industry talks, and social events. Room, board, access to campus facilities, recreational opportunities, and all conference events are included in conference tuition, allowing writers to prioritize their work, free of the constraints of their lives outside of Kettle Pond. Writers working in any genre, or on any writing adjacent project, may apply to The Writers’ Residency, while The Workshops offer both manuscript and generative sections for writers of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Fellowships are available for writers in need of financial assistance.
Prospective writers are encouraged to refer to our Sample Schedule, FAQ, descriptions of The Workshops and The Writers’ Residency, and to contact the conference directly with any questions they may have.
We look forward to reading your applications and seeing many of you in the Adirondacks this June!
