DINING & HOUSING
CAMPUS DINING
Kettle Pond provides meals for all of our writers during conference week. (For our 2026 event, meals begin with dinner on Saturday, June 20 & end with breakfast on Saturday, June 27.) Campus dining is included in tuition.
Paul Smith's beautiful, lakeside dining hall (view pictured above – yes, really!) can accommodate almost any dietary restrictions (see below for notes on keeping Kosher* at Kettle Pond). Writers with food allergies, sensitivities, or other dietary restrictions will be able to note their needs and/or preferences in their conference registration forms, following formal offers of admission.
All housing on campus includes access to shared kitchens: each featuring a refrigerator & freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher; however, these apartments do not come stocked with dishes, utensils, or any other basic cooking staples, equipment or implements (see more on campus housing below).
*Writers observing a Kosher diet who wish to attend Kettle Pond may be accommodated on campus, provided they are interested in preparing their own meals during the week. Please contact our staff directly for more details.
CAMPUS HOUSING
Housing on Paul Smith’s (beautiful & compact) campus is included in conference tuition. Accommodations for each attending writer feature a private bedroom furnished with a bed, writing desk, wardrobe, and individual locking door to their private space. Resident writer housing is arranged in apartment-style pods; up to four writers will be assigned to each pod. All campus apartments are equipped with a shared kitchen, living space, and two full bathrooms (two writers per bathroom, no hallway walk or shared shower facilities required).
WiFi, parking, and laundry facilities are all included in conference tuition and readily available in and around campus housing. (More info on kitchens in campus housing can be found in the dining section above.)
Barrier-free housing, as well as housing options for couples or families, can be made available upon request. More on accessibility on campus can be found here. Additional housing questions should be directed to Kettle Pond staff – we're here to help!
Local applicants who plan to commute, or writers who would prefer to arrange their own housing, should check our tuition page for pricing details.
